The system works best with the GSM phone system. If you are using a CDMA type phone, there might be some issues. So far, only people using Virgin Mobile (Canada) have complained. If you use that service, you are probably out of luck.

The time on all messages is set by the SMS message center. This time is usually one of the following: (a) GMT or (b) local time of the message center. Since I cannot set the time before sending messages, it is almost never (c) local time for you.
If the time is important, look at a clock when you receive the message, or put the time into your message text.

Your name, email address and mobile phone number will always be stored. Your mobile number must be stored for obvious reasons. The other info is so I can track you down in case of abuse or something else.
If you are using the eBay option, the auction ID is not recorded. The auction's end time is looked up when added an alert and then that time is what is stored.
I'm the only one who could possibly see your info. It is not shared with any third party.
